Savor on Central | Cloth + Flame at CityScape

This past week was one of our all time favorite events, Savor on Central! Hosted at CityScape and Presented by Cloth + Flame this year’s event featured Chico Malo, Copper Blues, Arrogant Butcher and Clever Koi. It’s such a fun experience to dine on a closed city street in the heart of Downtown Phoenix.  Surrounded by skyscrapers and observing the sunset, Central Avenue becomes a backyard patio among the concrete. 
We were welcomed with a Chico Malo cocktail | Loma Bonita | Reposado tequila, fresh squeezed lime juice, Chico’s handcrafted grapefruit soda, and lillet rouge.
Copper Blues | Watermelon and cucumber gazpacho shots | as an appetizer, perfect for an evening in the warm desert.
Matt of Cloth + Flame raving about his team and community connection within Phoenix.Before diner is served wine pairing of our choice make their way around.  First Course | Cloth + Flame | Beef bourguignon with baby spring potatoes, herb roasted shallots, farm greens and green goddess dressing. 
Vegetarian alternative was baby spring potatoes, herb roasted shallots, farm greens and green goddess dressing with the flakiest and puffiest biscuit.  Second Course | Arrogant Butcher | Vegetarian  alternative was cauliflower and grilled asparagus and quinoa.  Everyone else was served Bacon Wrapped Pork Tenderloin, Horseradish dauphinoise potatoes, grilled asparagus and a maple bacon relish
Clever Koi Cocktail | Szechuan 95 | Bardstown Bourbon, Szechuan honey, JP Chenet Sparkling White, lemon juice, garnished with red chili, cardamom and shiso leaf. Third Course | Clever Koi | Szechuan cured duck with shishito, romesco, spiced honey duck skin, chicharron. Vegetarian alternative was a salad of everything mentioned minus the duck.
Dessert | Cloth + Flame | Honey Bourbon Citrus Cake.If you ever have the opportunity to attend a Cloth + Flame dinner, do it! We attended this event as media and our ticket was complementary, doesn’t change our opinion one tiny bit and we’ll definitely attend more Cloth + Flame events on our own in the future because we mean it when we say they’re that impressive, and of course you know how much we love CityScape and their restaurant options; namely Blue Hound.
