A Very Bitches Valentine’s Day

Whether you’re celebrating with your cat or your husband, Valentine’s Day seems like a perfectly good excuse to eat some good food with people you love (romantically or otherwise) and relax. We can’t hate any day that celebrates that. So no Anti-Valentine’s Day for us; the bitches have some celebrating of love to do. Here’s how some of us are spending the holiday.

Valentine’s Day is pretty low key for my husband and I. Each year we choose to grab some amazing food to-go, pop open a bottle of champagne, snuggle on the sofa, and watch Netflix! There’s a delicious restaurant just within walking distance of our home called Tuck Shop. I think their chicken and waffles just might be the winner this year!

[My husband] and I have a favorite Valentine’s tradition of going to Postino’s, getting a bruschetta board and bottle of wine (or two) to go. We are home bodies and don’t like to deal with the Valentine’s Day rush. We watch some Netflix and I make dessert!

One of my favorite date night spots in the Valley is definitely Oven + Vine. Cozy and romantic with a homie feeling, it’s the perfect place to indulge! I could fill up on appetizers alone with the burrata and au gratin (plus freshly baked bread) but don’t miss the baked ziti and tiramisu. My boyfriend and I like to get all of the above and share. If you’re in the mood, they have a great wine list and yard games while you wait. Oven + Vine really has everything I look for in a good date night restaurant!

This bitch likes to celebrate Valentine’s Day binge watching Netflix at home with her boyfriend, their dog, boxes of Postino bruschetta, and a few bottles of Tempranillo. Thanks to Postmates, we can get this without even leaving the house (they can deliver alcohol in AZ now y’all!) Use our Postmates code “IGYKL” to get free delivery on your first order!

CaptureHusband has always surprised me for Valentine’s Day, cooking from home or bringing me my favorite meal, even though we always say we’re not going to celebrate. Here’s to hoping he get’s the memo this year and picks me up some food from The Gladly (specifically Bernie’s Mac ‘n Cheese and the Original Chopped Salad) to go and a bucket of raw vegan cookie dough from Nami. If you want to use uberEATS, get money off with my code! eats-jennifer23425ue for $10 off your first order. In return, I’ll buy another bottle of our favorite Vodka: Organic Ocean Vodka because wine is so 2016.

kd9a3772For our kids, we love to order the heart-shaped (pink!) pizza from Sardella’s and cinnamon sticks, because they deserve some good eats, too.

Happy Valentine’s Day! We are so …fondue you.

Yeah. That pun works, right?

Yeah.

Love,

 The Bitches
