Modern Market has been open a few weeks now in Scottsdale and now they’re rolling out a new Spring menu! Scottsdale’s freshest new restaurant celebrates the season with all-natural new salads, sandwiches, soups, pizzas and more! Modern Market just keeps getting tastier thanks to a seasonal spring menu launching TODAY, March 21. They’re open daily from 8 am – 9 pm and serve breakfast until 11 am.
Modern Market’s new menu features bold, farm-fresh flavors such as a tangy, spicy-sweet Diablo Sandwich featuring grilled steak topped with roasted cabbage-jalapeno slaw, gochujang-spiked aioli (a Korean-style red chili paste), plus fresh lime, served on a ciabatta bun. And a south-of-the-border-style, Mérida Salad (romaine, roasted chicken, organic adzuki beans, roasted corn, pickled onion, organic blue corn strips, cotija and avocado topped with guajillo lime vinaigrette).
We love that part of the restaurant’s mission to prove that fast food can be good food, because some of us are busy bitches. All Modern Market entrees cost around $10 and are available to-go.
Modern Market Scottsdale New Spring Menu Items Include;
- Diablo Sandwich (grilled steak, roasted cabbage jalapeno slaw, gochujang aioli, fresh lime on ciabatta)
- Hot Honey Pizza (Creminelli salami piccante, goat cheese, arugula, organic red sauce, Mike’s Hot Honey)
- Mérida Salad (romaine, roasted chicken, organic adzuki beans, roasted corn, pickled onion, organic blue corn strips, cotija, avocado, guajillo lime vinaigrette)
- Heirloom Rice (warm heirloom rice and split peas, roasted chicken, chili sweet potatoes, Cholula citrus slaw, grape tomatoes, cotija, avocado-tomatillo salsa, smoked crema)
- Sides: Lemon Garlic Asparagus
- Soups: Curry Split Pea & Tomato Basil
Housed inside a revitalized midcentury modern building at the NE corner of Scottsdale Rd. and Highland Ave., Modern Market showcases clean, simple food made from-scratch with locally sourced ingredients, ordered from a counter and served fast. Modern Market also takes an all-inclusive approach to food and health, with a focus on food quality and attention to sourcing. (The company searched for two years to find pickles that did not contain sodium benzoate – because who wants to eat that?!). Locally, these vetted sources include Valley favorites such as Cartel Coffee Lab, Abby Lee Farms, Four Peaks Brewing, Duncan Family Farms and Shamrock Foods. Modern Market also proudly uses organic Bianco de Napoli crushed tomatoes on its pizzas, aka the boutique cannery co-founded by famed Phoenix pizzaiolo, Chris Bianco.
We’re glad Modern Market is on the same page as us and knows that fast food can be good food. In fact it was that idea that led to the creation of Modern Market in Boulder, Colo. in 2009. It took two people with zero restaurant experience to figure that you could serve healthy, scratch-made fare at reasonable prices in a beautiful environment. Breakfast, lunch and dinner rule the day at Modern Market with a broad menu of farm-to-table food that tastes even better than it looks.
