We look forward to this event EVERY year! This year was no exception. We tried, I think, everything! with that in mind, we’ve decided to share our top 10 favorites in no particular order..
1. SoSoBa served a pork kimchi tostada that they have for their happy hour menu and the texture and fermented goodness came together wonderfully, not to mention a shot of mushroom bone broth!2. Frites Street served Poutine fries and cheese curds topped with pickled onion. We may have gone back for seconds. or thirds. 3. Of course we loved the Smoked Bison Taquitos from Helio Basin, as did everyone else, considering they won the Excellence in Taste:Award for their Smoked Bison Taquito with Squash, Corn and Bean, Corn Tortilla with Epazote Cream , (Congrats. Tamara Stagner, Helio Basin Brewing Company!)4. We know another tostada! but this one is different, and delicious. This one is from Mariposa Latin Inspired Grill and features beef veggies topped with roasted corn and pickled onion. 5. The Ramona Farms Superfood Salad from Phoenix City Grille. 6. The handrolled Cabeza dim sum pho dish from Bitter and Twisted 7. Canoli from Leoni’s Focaccia 8. The District got creative with this concoction. The Modern Root Beer Float made with American root beer, orange and Madagascar vanilla ice cream, root beer caviar, and vanilla toffee popcorn. 9. Jabenero Pepper Shrimp from Breadfruit and Rum Bar brought the heat.10. And too many great drinks to choose from, here are three of our favorites; Top left pain killer from Hula’s Modern Tiki, top right mango basil from Federal Pizza
