First Watch’s Seasonal Menu and spoiler alert; we love it.

If you’re like a few of the bitches you’ve never been to a First Watch, that’s okay, while the company was originally founded in 1983, they’re predominately on the East coast but now they’ve converted all the Good Eggs into the best breakfast and daytime cafe!

We recently sampled their seasonal menu offerings though December.  Here’s a look…

A.M. Superfoods Bowl; this one was a game changer, it has coconut milk soaked chia seed pudding topped with fresh bananas, berries. blackberry preserves and housemade granola.  I have never had chia seed pudding made with coconut milk and to be honest my breakfast game just upped a level because I’m making this at home right now! The bowl isn’t alone, it’s served with whole grain artisan toast (made in house, fresh, daily) and topped with almond butter and Maldon sea salt.

Next up we tried the Pot Roast Hash which features all natural, slow-roasted beef Pot Roast in a Demi-Glace sauce mixed with house-roasted shallots and peppers over their fresh seasoned potatoes.  Topped with two fresh cage-free eggs your style.  And as if that wasn’t enough a side of fresh fruit and whole grain artisan toast with all natural preserves.

and then dessert, I mean more breakfast, Cinnamon Chip Pancake Breakfast.  Which is just as sweet and decadent as it sounds.  Paired with two fresh cage-free eggs your style and a cinnamon chip pancake and a side of (your choice) bacon, turkey sausage or sausage link.  These sweet pancakes are full size so be prepared to share!

Not only were there new entrees but also a new fresh squeezed Juice Bar drink; Morning Meditation (below) which was a beautiful layering of orange, lemon, turmeric, organic ginger agave nectar and beet juice on top.

in addition to the seasonal juice, we tried their other two; Kale Tonic with kale, Fuji apple, English cucumber and lemon.

and the Day Glow with carrot, orange, lemon and organic ginger which is the sweetest of their juices.

I also couldn’t help but order the Florintine Eggs benedict, it’s rare to find a good vegetarian Benedict so I was excited to see this one didn’t have any prosciutto or meat (although they do have those on the menu too!)

This Chickichanga is unique twist on the breakfast burrito has the egg on the outside!

and their famous quinoa bowls couldn’t be ignored.  The Pesto Chicken Power is a mix of  Protein-packed quinoa and kale, shredded carrots and house-roasted tomatoes topped with grilled all-natural lemon chicken breast, basil pesto sauce, feta crumbles and fresh herbs.

As far as first impressions go, they made a great one, I can’t wait to head back with my kids and order all the things.

    the Coconut milk chia seed pudding is a game changer!!! You are so right! You said you are trying to make it at home and so am I! How is your success on it? I cant get the consistency of mine the same. Ive tried several recipes! Id love to know how you are making yours!

    1. I tried a half and half ratio and it wasn’t enough milk I think maybe 1/4 chia seeds, and 3/4 coconut milk, I read chia seeds can absorbs 7x their size so I think it’s just trial and error, I shake mine a few times a day in the fridge and stir it a couple times to make sure it mixes well.
